Come n Try
Come along to any weekend paddling session, say "Hi" and join us for a paddle. Please contact Deb or Michelle (above) for information on how to register to paddle with the new Dragon Pass.
Dragon Pass allows you to have 4 consecutive weeks FREE membership before deciding whether or not you should become a member of Redlands Sea Ddragons and participate in the sport on an ongoing basis.
Dragon Pass Features
- Paddling for 4 consecutive weeks (28 days)
- Completely free of charge
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get wet, work with a team and have fun.
Come and Try paddlers will need to read and sign a waiver form - please turn up a bit earlier on the day of your first paddling session to get this done. You should have some some overall general fitness and not have any significant medical concerns. Our coaches will advise you on how to paddle and where best to sit you in the boat with a "buddy".
You can come along and try on a Saturday or a Sunday at 6.15am sign-on, and finishing around 8.00am.
If you cannot swim 50 metres with clothes on, or comfortably tread water for 10 minutes, you must wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD). The club can lend you one for the session. Paddles are also provided.
What to bring and wear:
-
Comfortable clothing (you may get a little wet)
-
Water bottle
-
Sunglasses and sun screen
-
Hat
-
Shoes suitable to get wet
-
Fingerless sports gloves if you have them but not absolutely necessary.
If you are interested in joining us and becoming a RSD member, contact one of come and try co-ordinators. Please have a look at the "Join Us" page for membership costs.
Call one of our friendly Come & Try coordinators (be aware they may be at work so leave a message):
